Dov is a highly skilled, versatile lawyer who represents clients in the most significant medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability, and nursing home and maritime injuries, as well as other civil rights matters. He is known throughout New England for his tenacity and determination to achieve top results, no matter the odds or opponent.

Prior to moving to Maine in 2014, Dov worked in Philadelphia where he represented victims of fraud and unfair business practices, homeowners facing foreclosure, and parents fighting to preserve their parental rights.

Dov founded Independence Law Maine in order to stand up for people who have sustained life-altering injuries through no fault of their own. Dov settles for nothing less than the maximum recovery for his clients. At the same time, he understands that a lawsuit is about much more than dollars and cents. In fact, the firm is named after what most clients want more than anything else: the restoration of the physical, financial and emotional independence that is typically shattered by traumatic injury.

In 2000, Dov was invited to the White House where he was named United States Presidential Scholar for both achieving a perfect score on the SATs and being the top academic high school graduate in the state of Florida. Dov went on to attend Harvard College where he received the prestigious Detur Prize for academic achievement and then earned a merit scholarship to attend The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.

Upon graduating from law school, Dov was awarded the prestigious Richard C. Lewis, Jr. Memorial Award, presented to only one student in a class of more than 500 “for extraordinary dedication to clinics, and unusual compassion and humanity toward clients and colleagues.”

“I love tackling the most complex cases and then leaving no stone unturned in order to achieve life-changing results for my clients,” Dov says. “The attorney-client relationship is sacred, and developing a strong relationship with my clients is the key to truly understanding—and ultimately winning—all serious and complex cases. The stronger our relationship, the better the results.”
